I've come to realize that we do not have enough Annex BBs. If anyone can give a few suggestions, I'll list them on this post. That will keep them visable in one place, and if they are made, they can be removed or marked a done.

    The List:

A building with a crane for ports with passengers

    Grain annexes for different grains

    Chickpea Farm Annex

Cotton Farm Annex (cotton bales with forklift)

    Depot annex

    Ski Resort Annex

Generic Industry Annex - a storage building with some crates and/or skids and a forklift (different colored buildings)

Agricultural Farm Annex - a farm building with some crates and/or skids and a forklift (nice one Jancsika, dumping fruit from above would leave it good only for juice and insects.. ^**lylgh )

It means exactly what it says, that we need more Annex's for different types of jobs and new looks for the old versions as well.
Like A port Annex with a Building for Passengers and a crane for other items instead of what we have now. Different types for all the different Grains etc.
    Yes Anyone can help.

A couple of modern generic annex would be helpful. (like a storage building with some crates and a forklift running around) That goes with some industries. Especially agricultural industries. If you check the list of goods: banana, watermelon, beans.. etc. a few generic farm industry would be also a great improvement. In the Maryland map I used Rambutan farm for Apple orchard.

Let's try this from a different angle.

In looking at my Annexes folder I noticed that there are only 5 that have been posted as BBs:

    Iron Mine Annex
    Distribution Center Annex w/crane
    Distribution Center Annex w/lift truck
    Port Annex
    Taconite Mine Annex

and 4 that are being worked on:

    Chickpea Farm Annex
    Cotton Farm Annex
    Depot Annex
    Ski Resort Annex

While researchimg information for this post, thanks to Rodea, I noticed that we also are in need of many more out-of-town Industries. There are some of those that are being worked on, but suggestions for those would be helpful also.

I know you have some Industries you created Rodea, and I've been thinking about making some of those into BBs also.

I'll add the for that are being worked on to the list in the first post.

Jancsika - You have some good ideas there. Let me think on those and I'll add the results to the first post.

    Jancsika

For agricultural industries such as you are talking above, basicly we can use lumber mill annex or sheep farm annex, just need add a crate containing of the good.
and for forklif as an annex we need edit it in 3d software in order to will have an animation

Rodea has Cotton farm and cotton field. Also hay farm. Used them in Maryland.
    I could probably separate them.

Ok childern :baby , let's keep this on subject.... meeting ..

Annimation is not really needed. You would have to have the forklift pick up a skid and move it to the traincar. Skid appearing as the product is available and disaperaing as it is loaded would be OK, but if to much annimation is put into a map, it slows it down and eventually crashes it. This is proved by the number of engines in large maps.

I'm just interested in keeping it all simple. How often is someone going to sit there and watch a load of apples being loaded?

And keep an eye on the first post for updates.

I want to do a Civil War series and could use a couple of prison annexes. The idea being that shipping passengers from one person to the other would produce people to be shipped.

I could also use a fort annex.

I guess the concept would be to have two different "types" of passengers, grey and blue. The passengers could be shipped to the forts to be turned into soldiers. You could exchange prisoners by shipping prisoners to an opposing prison, which would produce blue people to be shipped to the forts.

Interesting concept...... We have some stuff from CIV IV, but it has to be run thru Blender to change the 'NiTriStripsData' into 'NiTriShapeData'. It worked for a couple of CIV IV NIFs, so we might be able to do some more. Any experiance with Blender?

Those would make what we call the Industry part. The Annex, which comes up when you buy one, could be made from one of the city buildings.

    Just so I am clear...

I thought an Annex was basically an industry outside of a city. So like a sheep farm would be an annex correct?

Another thing I will need is a "battleground" annex. Assuming I can specify where I want them and what they should be named.

An Annex is the depot for an out of city industry to load and unload goods. It is not an industry itself.
With No Annex the Industry Is Just a decoration.

Well, what are you looking for in a new annex? Is there something you do not like about the original one, like maybe the mess of splashing the oil about?

Hmmmm. If you are talking about Gasoline, that is made from Oil at a refinery. The refinery can be placed in a city or out of a city. In city it does not need an Annex. Out of city it could use the Oil Annex and you would know the difference by the fact that you are pulling up to the Refinery. If you are talking about Natural Gas, a re-skinned Oil Annex minus the Oil splashing around could be done.

    Which are you wanting?

Uhm, ( The reskined oil annex )

A out of city gas ( Like oil ) but it there is a visual difference despite the goods!

So like in my map ->None/workers/visitor > Gas
    ->Gas > $ ( in the powerplant orso )

From the first look at your map I see that you have found this Refinery: viewtopic.php?p=2196#p2196 . There is also this one: viewtopic.php?p=3367#p3367 . Mind you, the names on the signs can be changed, along with the skins. We could take the sign completely off and put a name on the Oil/Gas tanks also. You could also play around with doing those yourself if you have a mind to. Arteest
