For a while I've been wanting to adjust some of the v1 cars in the game to be a bit more realistic and less cartoonish looking. After I started working on my Western & Atlantic locomotives, I decided I wanted to have some train cars to go with them so I figured why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Most of these are just altered/adjusted v1 cars but some have more extensive mods. I'll start with those since they're probably going to be the more interesting of the group.

The first car I'll start with is one I did before I decided I wanted to do cars to go with the WA engines. I had wanted a longer version of the v1 Mail car to go with the longer v1 Passenger cars that I've been using for a few trains that I got from Rodea's Island of Sodor map. The zip files has a modified version of the v1 skin files along with the repainted skin for the WARR version so if someone wants to use this car in place of the v1 car but without it being the WARR version, they can.

Here is the Passenger car. It's mostly Rodea's version with a few further tweaks to it.

This is the Oil car. This car probably has the most mods to it as it started as the flatbed from the vineyard car with the tank from the oil car on top of it. I couldn't really find much reference photos for the actual tanker cars from that period but I found a model someone had made and really liked the look of it so that's the direction I went in. I want to mention that there is one little quirk to the animation of this car. I'm not sure what happened but I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I thought it ended up being a bit amusing anyway so I just left it. Basically, when the train unloads these at the stations, the tops just kind of fly off and disappear as if someone were just tossing them away. You'll see what I mean when you use the car in the game. When I first saw it It gave me a laugh. If anyone wants to try to fix it, go for it, but I don't think it's too big a deal.

Here's the arms car. It's the old cannon on a flatbed.

Here's the automobile car. Since cars didn't exist yet during this time period, I stuck the carriage from the carriage building industry on it.

Here is the gold car. It never made much sense to me that the gold car was an open air car so I made mine by further modifying my mail car.

This is the pharma car. I wanted to do something different for it. Combine cars were seen a lot during this time period so this seemed like a good fit. It can be used for other things as well.

Here's the swine car. This is a mod I had made for something else that I liked so wanted to repurpose it for my WARR set. This is one of the cars I had issues with getting to work right after making my modifications to it so the finished car is actually two cars in the same space with one having a bunch of stuff alpha'd out so it doesn't show up. For whatever reason, after exporting it from Blender, the doors don't work right. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to fix this issue which is why I ended up doing the whole 2 cars in the same space thing. If someone wants to look at it and figure it out, please feel free. My work around makes it functional enough for me so I'm not too bothered about it though.

Here's my cattle car. Like the Swine car, I had issues getting it to work right so had to do the work around of having 2 cars in the same space.

At this point the only mods I really made to this car and those following were lengthening them. In some cases I may have added an additional piece of cargo (an extra roll of paper, a couple extra casks, etc). This is the cask car.
