Hey y'all!
I've finished tweaking the 4-4-0 I've been working on. This model is intended to be used as an early 4-4-0 (pre-American). The 4-4-0 design was first deployed around 1837, but as I don't have the necessary modeling skills to make an early eight wheeler, I modified the standard 4-4-0 model instead. I used the NDeM #10 model files as my baseline.
This is a smaller 4-4-0, and isn't as powerful or fast as the American. Many locomotives in the 1830's didn't have enclosed cabs, hence why I removed the cab to help differentiate this model visually.
I decided to make this a Central Pacific version, to go along with the scenario I am working on. The CP logos, text, and #1s are all decals, so these can be swapped out rather easily if someone is feeling the urge. Also, the driver armrests aren't quite what I was hoping for, but that's the best I could do with the vertices for now.
A tender is also included, of course. I also included the game statistics I'm using for the design. I may go back and do some more modifications to this model at some point, but I have other things on the plate at the moment, and for now it works well enough.
