This is very nice! From a mapmaker's point of view it is important that all BB-s are coming from one source. This way there will be less cause for some possible conflict or omission.
One more thing! If there will be any future revision to them, I hope that it will be marked "Loud and Clear" on the post itself.

Well, how about a thread for "Changes to Building Blocks"? That would really flag any changes made.

While we're at it, how about a thread for new stuff made where the creator wants it posted, but would prefer Bobby or I to do it? I do plan on a tutorial on making BB posts, alone with the data to make them look the same.

Well, first I want to thank you. If you find any more, let me know. If I didn't create the icons themselves, I may not have checked them out. I do have plans to check them all out later tho. I'll repair that and repost it. If you find any others, let me know.

It looks like there is a problem with your latest Iron Ore (goods). I added it to the game and the in game icon showed up as a pink box.

^**lylgh Major Error ::!**! (Not really, just having fun!)
In the good list C5 stands for Copper Ore. In New South Wales you are using it for Coins.
Since there was no map released with Copper Ore yet, I suggest to change it to Coins.
Let me know, because I am using it in my next map.

We here at STEP Inc are happy to announce that we have surpassed a mile marker in the making of Goods BBs!! ::!**!

We now have 86 Goods BBs posted and twenty sitting on the sidelines awaiting maps to be finished for a total of 106 Goods BBs!!! !**yaaa

Tijer and I started these over a year-and-a-half ago, and we are still producing more BBs all the time.

The next set of BBs we'll probably work on is the TrainCars to go with these, altho TrainCars are easy to find to haul almost all of them.

Anyone who can assist with the gathering up the files for Traincars, please feel free to post them here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=108 -meeting-

And many thanks to all of you who have assisted us in this endevor. (0!!0)

P.S. as you can see by the Iron Ore post, it was repaired. !$th_u$! Mr. Scott

Just for the record, I just did some minor editing to 18 Goods BBs. The editing simply consisted of the correct outer rings on the 3 TGA files along with the revamping of the JPG used for the forum. They are:

    Apples
    Beans
    Bananas
    Chickpea
    Cotton
    Coins
Fuel Oil (this one got a graphic revamp also)
    Jelly
    Limestone
    Lemons
    Limes
    Machinery
    Oranges
    Pears
    Peaches
    Pottery
    Visitors
    Watermelons

Hello everyone, I am a new member of this forum and quite a newbie at modding the game. I downloaded the excellent Australia Map, and wanted to try adding a few goods [minerals], just to see if it's not too difficult; following some really good tutorials I managed to create Bauxite and Aluminium. I made an experiment substituting Coal with Bauxite and Steel with Aluminium and all works, but the icons are lame! I don't know if I use the wrong background colour, or maybe the minerals pic is too big, but they don't look good to me.
I would be really thankful if some of you experts could have a look at them and tell me what I am doing wrong, because I am planning to create other mineral goods and want to get it straight before going on making the same mistakes.
    Thank you in advance!

The Bauxite looks fine. I'm guessing that you used a pic of an actual piece of Bauxite from the net for that. I do that for most of my icons.

The Aluminum I'm guessing is a mangled ball of aluminum. Looks good.

All I see with the XMLs are the Leader and Player Titles. Personally I'd also go to the Wiki and grab the next available numbers for A and B, but that is up to the maker of the Goods.

Thank you snoopy55 for your reply. The problem is that in game, looking at those icons, you can't really make up what's in them; in the industry and goods report they are not too bad but in game they don't look ok. Maybe I should add a bit of black around the shape of the minerals, I am really running out of ideas on how to make the drat things stand out... I wanted to achieve a distinctive look like the existing cast iron, or the iron ore, but can't get there. About the numbers and the titles, you are right of course, but I am still just experimenting with them and I don't think they are good enough for posting here, so the number is just a reference for myself, to get used to the system, and the titles... I just forgot to change them lol.

I have always found that to get the Good to stand out the best way seems to be to run the background color opposite to the colors of the Good. This is done with the use of the color wheel. Then if you work the resulting color with dark Goods getting a lighter background color and light Goods getting a darker background color, it can work out rather nicely. You can do final adjustments from there. Sooner or later you just have to stop adjusting at some point and get on with the map, otherwise you could be at it forever....... (been there, done that)

Well basically its a replacement for wood in the game as the good WOOD uses the lumber Icons. So hence the different Icons for the good and traincar. We shall see what Snoopy has to say about it as it was made for one of his maps..
But thank you for the info. !$th_u$!
